The World of John Wick: Ballerina. My review - a series of shoot em ups, explosions, biffo and fisticuffs both sublime and ridiculous and as predictable as porn but without the plot line.

Stellar performances by Anjelica Huston, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick and Keanu Reeves, all in supporting roles that skated the edge of cameo, and thusly practically all seemingly leading, relegating the lead to a bit part.

The dialogue, such as there was, sparkled with deadpan humour, irony and a deep sense of the flick taking the piss out of itself, and, for reasons that will become apparent if you see it, the Harry Potter franchise.

As an action movie it had every cliché imaginable, even making a cliché out of a cliché in a memorable scene toward the end involving flamethrowers, FFS.

Highly recommended - 5 Stars. Loved it.

I loved how you compared Eve’s fighting style to Wick’s while making her totally her own.

I have a friend who’s obsessed with John Wick, and I’m definitely sharing this with them.

Thank you for sharing.

Thanks for passing this on! John Wick did such a fun thing with the one-man-army movie genre by making guns personal... I think Ballerina continues the fine tradition 🤣
